Why Does my Lawn Look red?
You may have a fungus called “red thread” which is typically caused from too much moisture in the thatch layer.
Our lawn program can prevent and treat crabgrass.
Do you de-thatch lawns and why is it necessary?
Yes, it is important to maintain a healthy thatch layer of less than ½ inch, anything more can start to have adverse effects on your lawn.
Aeration can be done anytime of the year, but we aerate in the fall. Aeration helps remove excess thatch; it also promotes deep root growth and gives water and nutrients a direct path to the root zone.
Brown spots can be caused by a variety of different things; here are a few possible reasons. Fungus, lawn is too dry, lawn is stressed, and chemical burn, are a few possible reasons. Call our office and have a professional come out and diagnose the lawn and help you fix the problem.
I have moles, does that mean I have a grub problem? Why do I have moles? Do you offer a service that will get rid of moles?
The best way to tell if you have grubs is to cut back a 1 square foot section of sod and look for them in the top three inches of soil. If you see grubs present, count them, if there are more than 8-10 grubs in that one square foot area it is very important to get the treated.
All lawns are not created equal. There are many different reasons why you may have fungus and your neighbor may not. The soil used when the lawn was first put in may be different, your watering schedules may be different, your fertilizer treatments may be different, your sun/shade coverage may be different and most importantly the type of seed used when seeding the lawn may be different.

Understanding each Job
Construction requires study and observation. It is not the same in different parts of the world. Landscaping varies according to different regions. Therefore, normally local natural experts are recommended if it is done for the first time. Understanding of the site is one of the chief essentials for successful landscaping. Different natural features like terrain, topography, soil qualities, prevailing winds, depth of the frost line, and the system of native flora and fauna must be taken into account. Sometimes the land is not fit for landscaping. In order to landscape it, the land must be reshaped.
Removal of earth from the land is called cutting while when earth is added to the slope, it is called filling. Sometimes the grading process may involve removal of excessive waste (landfills), soil and rocks, so designers should take into account while in the planning stag.

Landscaping
Landscaping refers to any activity that modifies the visible features of an area of land, including:
living elements, such as flora or fauna; or what is commonly called gardening, the art and craft of growing plants with a goal of creating a beauty within the landscape.
natural elements such as landforms, terrain shape and elevation, or bodies of water; and
abstract elements such as the weather and lighting conditions.
Landscaping requires expertise in horticulture and artistic design.
The main component of a healthy environment for self esteem is that it needs to be nurturing. It should provide unconditional warmth, love, and caring.

There are many aspects to consider in landscaping design. Landscaping can be a do-it-yourself venture or can be done by landscaping experts like landscape designers and contractors. Some of the first things to consider are money, persistence. A budget should be determined to limit spending too much money. How long and perform put into landscaping designs should also be taken into consideration. Some other aspects might consist of environment, ground and rules. Normally, the first step in landscaping designs is preparing. Programs can be used to model the exact real estate asset being designed. Charts and designs might be drawn up to show the structure of features and limitations. At the beginning stage of landscaping preparing, the elements and concept need to be decided. Installing a watering program may need a professional landscaping design contractor. Pipe joints, sprinklers and minuter with the electrical program should be included in landscaping design plans. If the landscaping designs concept includes regularly, falls, water fountains or a lake, a landscaping design service should also be regarded. The quantity of light should be taken into consideration when landscaping designs.
